Roma has always wanted to make the world a better place, but as a comedy writer, she suspects she’ll probably make it worse. Years of existence as a quadruple-pronged diversity hire have left her fascinated by how systems of oppression leave marginalized people so desperate to prove themselves that they miss out on forming real connections with others, and often explores that through comedy in her work (and tragedy in her personal life). In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, coming up with convoluted oatmeal recipes, and daydreaming about moving to a farm (note: she is a New Yorker with no rural experience). Roma has worked as a script coordinator on a Dreamworks preschool show (where she wrote one freelance script) and an associate writer on a 6-11 show at Disney TV Animation (where she wrote two scripts). She's now available for freelance and staff work, and is open to writing for all ages.
