Yasmin Almanaseer is a Black and Arab-American writer born in the Deep South outside of Tallahassee, FL and later raised in the Wine Country of Northern California. By the age of six, Yasmin had been raised Baptist Christian, Roman Catholic, and Muslim, culturally Black, culturally Arab, and culturally a little waspy. After studying philosophy at Loyola Marymount and attending law school for one single day, Yasmin worked as an assistant in the writers' rooms of shows like ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, GLOW, and THE GIRL FROM PLAINVILLE. Yasmin has now written as Staff Writer on the Hulu drama BLACK CAKE, and as a Story Editor on an upcoming UNTITLED SILICON VALLEY DRAMA series for Netflix.
